Sixty three year old Travis Doyle MAY of Chatham was killed near Chester Thursday morning in a one vehicle accident, state police reported. State police said the accident occurred at 11 a.m. on the Chester Road some 14 miles west of Grayson. Troopers said May was southbound, lost control of his pickup truck and overturned off the side of the road. Officials said May received severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Caldwell Parish Coroner Dr. E. L. Carroll. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hickory Springs Baptist Church in Jackson Parish with burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Irene Mack of Walker, Mrs. Jewel Johnston of Maplewood and Mrs. Myrtle Lizenby of Chatham; and one brother, Lloyd May of Chatham.
