Husband of Phoebe (Davis) Hodson (1830-1909). Son of Hezekiah Hodson and Anna (Hoskins) Hodson. Cyrus was a veteran of the Civil War - Union Army. He enlisted in Company G, 149th Ohio Infantry on May 2, 1864. He died June 8, 1864 of disease at Fort Marshall, Baltimore, Maryland only a month after enlisting in the service. Cyrus was the father of at least six children including: Lewis, Anne, Thomas, Lydia, Rebecca and Caroline Hodson. He died at age 39.

Please note: According to Findagrave member, 48977220, Cyrus Hodson was briefly interred in the Loudon Park National Cemetery, before being returned home to be buried with family. He is listed in Anna Watring's book Civil War Burials in Baltimore's Loudon Park Cemetery.
