JEFFERSON D. ALLEN DIES AT MONTEBELLO
Montebello, July 30. - (Special to The News-Leader) - Jefferson Davis Allen, eighty-two, died Thursday night at ten-thirty o'clock at his home after a brief illness.

He was the son of the late Mary Margaret Fauber and Robert Allen of Nelson County, and was a prominent farmer of this vicinity.

He is survived by: his wife, Adeline; a son, Perry D., of Houston, Tex.; eight daughters, Mrs. T. B. Brown (sic Brooks), Galveston, Tex.; Mrs. Frank Doyle, Fairfield; Mrs. W. W. Fauber, Vesuvius; Mrs. W. W. Cash, Roanoke; Mrs. Audrey Williams, Portsmouth; Mrs. Ernest Disantis, Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Harry Brown, Washington, D. C.; and Mrs. Gilbert H. Brandenburg, Vesuvius.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 1, at the Allen home here, with the Rev. Dow N. McGrady officiating. Burial will be made in the Allen private plot.
