EAST CARBON - Mildred Bahr Lipsey left her earthly home on Sunday, October 2, 2011, to take up residency in her "mansion in the sky".

She was born March 1, 1917, to Ernest and Bertha Betzing Bahr in Chester, Ohio. She was the fourth child of nine born to this union.

Married Victor Lipsey on March 26, 1939 in Yuma, Arizona. They had three children: James Ernest Lipsey, Vicky Lipsey Gillilan and Joyce Lipsey Branson prior to his passing on September 30, 1962.

Mildred was a strong, amazing woman of faith and she lived her life following in the footsteps of the Lord. During her 94 years, she touched many lives with her knowledge and wisdom; she was truly part of the "greatest generation".

Survived by her daughter, Joyce (Bevan) Branson, of Helper; daughter-in-law, Earlene Lipsey, of La Mirada, CA; six grandchildren: Brock (Kass) Branson, Brett Branson, Mark (Cyndie) Gillilan, Vic (Shelley) Gillilan, Wayne Day and Rhea Dawn Dominquez; many loving great-grandchildren; sisters, Lila Winters, of Parkersburg, WV, and Evelyn Well, of Pomeroy, OH; and brother, Henry (Eileen) Bahr, of Long Bottom, OH.

She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; husband, Vic; son, Jim; and daughter, Vicky.

At her request, a graveside service will be Wednesday, October 5, 2011, 11:00 a.m., Price City Cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home, (233 East Main Street) in Price Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
