Joe's 1st wife was Paris (Brewer) Donelson (1889–Mar 1914).
Living at 3953 Dry Fork Road in Whites Creek, Davidson County, Maddie was 105 years old when she passed away on August 26, 1999 at Nashville's Bordeaux Hospital.
Survivors included daughters Sue Newell and Audrey McCullough in Whites Creek and Josephine Meyer of Nashville, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and seven 2nd-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on August 30th at Buena Vista Funeral Home in Nashville, and burial was in Joelton Hills Memory Gardens.
