She spent the majority of her life in McMinn County and was a longtime member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She worked at Morgan Manufacturing for 22 years and loved gardening, babysitting, going to church and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Burrell; siblings, Icy Sickles, Lizzie Rowlett, Junior Rowlett, Marion Rowlett, Sisle Rowlett, Dosha Carmack , Jessie Rowlett; and infant sister, Ivy Rowlett.
She is survived by her son, James Allen (Cheryl) Burrell of Crandall, Georgia; grandchildren, James Marion(Tosha) Burrell of Englewood and Michael Lee(Sierra Ensley) Burrell of Chatsworth, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Devon Braxton Burrell, Thomas Mason Burrell , Austin Riley Ensley and Kasen Branch Burrell; sister, Bobbie Leonard of Blountville, Tennessee; special caregiver Melissa Burrell of Englewood and several nieces, nephews and several extended family and church family.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Violet Viola Burrell will be held at 12 noon Friday, January 3, 2019 from the Zion Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Justin Brown and Pastor Mark Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Rural Vale Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
