Died April 28, 1921.
George was one of 10 children. The family were original settlers of the Granger, New York, area and were known as "Plymouth Pilgrims".

The following death noticed appeared in the London Free Press on April 29, 1921:-
"Pitt - Suddenly at Victoria Hospital on Thursday, April 28, 1921,

George W. Pitt in his 86th year. Funeral private from his late residence, 190 Wharncliffe Rd. South London, Saturday, April 30. Service at 2 o'clock. Buried in the "DARCH" family plot
