Lorenzo worked as a coal miner in Sunnyside, Utah for 18 years and later moved to Green River, Wyo. and worked at FMC for 22 years. He retired in 1990 and moved back to Jensen, Utah.
Lorenzo enjoyed horseback riding, camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints, and attended the Ashley Creek Ward.
Lorenzo is survived by his children: Kenneth and Twila Boren of Logan; Sharry and John Doak of Rock Springs, Wyo., Carolyn and Randy Jones of Green River, Wyo. and Mark and Colleen Weber of Cora, Wyo. His sisters, Alberta Smuin of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Lula Jensen of Price, Lela Pape and Wanda Slaugh both of Vernal. Along with 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Verda Thompson, Edna Brown, Darrell Boren, Beulah Ann Boren and Melvin Boren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at the Uintah Stake Center. Friends and family called Tuesday, Feb. 1 from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Thomson-Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
