Obituary: Myrl Robinson Despain

Myrl Robinson Despain, 96, died on Nov. 28, 2001 in Holladay, Utah.

She was born on Mar. 19, 1905 in American Fork, Utah to John Heber and Leah Domitile Bigler Robinson.

She married LaMoyne [sic] A. Despain on Oct. 28, 1925 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Myrl loved fine arts, classical music, handi work, playing the piano and luncheons. Belonged to Salt Lake Council of Women, Holladay Lady Lions and Lady Fireman's Auxiliary. She enjoyed Jazz games and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand children.

Survived by sister, Madeleine Hicks; sister-in-law, Opal Robinson; daughters, Gwen Young (Marden) and Marilyn Fairclough (Dennis); daughter-in-law, Sarah Despain Pusey (Wendell); 19 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, LeMoyne; son, Wendell; two great-grandchildren, Rachelle Despain and Parker West; brother, Don S. Robinson and brother-in-law, Grant W. Hicks.

Funeral services will be held on Mon., Dec. 3, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Holladay 3rd Ward, 4568 Holladay Blvd., Holladay. Friends and family may call Mon. from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
