Kristie Ann Mumaw Anderson, 35, of Woodstock, died October 1, 2011.

She was born in Woodstock, Virginia on August 21, 1976 and lived in Shenandoah County her entire life. She attended Central High School, graduating in 1994 and went on to receive an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Lord Fairfax Community College in 1996.

In 2001, she was married to Christopher Anderson at St. Paul's UCC in Woodstock, Virginia. Their life together has been blessed with the birth of their two children.

Mrs. Anderson has been employed by AIDS Response Effort - Valley Health in Winchester as a Finance and Grant Coordinator since 2009. She was previously employed at Grafton Schools in Winchester, Virginia as an Accountant. Kristie enjoyed the work that she performed using her skills in assisting those at need in the community.

Kristie was a member at Mt. Calvary United Church of Christ, assisting with church functions in various ways. Kristie was also very active as a consultant for The Longaberger Company. Her love of Longaberger was something she shared with her mother and sister, hosting Longaberger parties in their homes and through Kristie's organization of bus trips to visit Dresden, Ohio. Kristie also loved being a volunteer with the public schools in her son's classroom.

She leaves her husband, Chris; her son, Cole, and daughter, Claire, all of Woodstock. She also leaves a brother, Larry of Woodstock, Virginia; and a sister, Tracy and her husband Bill Simmons of Edinburg, Virginia. She is also survived by her mother and father, Colon and Debbie Mumaw of Woodstock, Virginia. She also leaves her niece and nephew, Anna and Landon Simmons of Edinburg; and nieces, Amber and Courtney Anderson of Brewerton, New York. She was dedicated to the love of her children, her nieces and nephew, and all of her family.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home. The Rev. Freddie Helsley will officiate. Interment to follow in Sunset View Cemetery.

Family night will be Tuesday, October 4, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home.

Memorial gifts in Mrs. Andersons' memory can be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, Inc., 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601 or to Woodstock Rescue Squad, 132 W. Reservoir Road, Woodstock, Virginia 22664.
