The daughter of James and Flora Dowdy, she was born February 16, 1933 in Russellville, Arkansas.
She married James William Austin on December 24, 1950. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was Assembly of God in faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers.
Survivors include her husband, James Austin, Russellville; one daughter, Diane White and husband Steve, Russellville; two sons, Doug Austin and wife Sherry, Russellville, Greg Austin and wife Rita, Russellville; six grandchildren, Lindsey White, Jenna White, Justin White, Brandon Austin, Kaycee Austin, Morgan Austin; three sisters, Elizabeth West, Anita Haulmark, Lorene Moore, all of Russellville.
Graveside funeral will be at 10:00 AM Friday, May 21, 2004 at Shiloh-Williamson Cemetery at Russellville, Arkansas by Humphrey Funeral Service.
