Flora Elizabeth West, age 78 of Russellville, died Sunday, February 22, 2009 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
She was born September 11, 1930 in Russellville to James and Flora Hunnicutt Dowdy. She was of the Assembly of God faith and was a hair dresser all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ottis Jones, Woodrow Dowdy and Monroe Dowdy; and two sisters, Annice Dowdy and Ethel Faye Austin.
Survivors include her husband, R.G. West; one son, Michael West of Russellville; one daughter, Sherry West Jones of Russellville; two sisters: Anita Haulmark and Loraine Moore, both of Russellville; a grandson, David Shawn Jones; and a great-granddaughter, Montana and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Rose. Burial will follow at Shiloh-Williamson Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 7 P.M., at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Austin, Greg Austin, Shawn Jones, Steve White, Jerry Jones, Kenneth Haulmark, Bob Haulmark and Wayne Haulmark.
