Leola Shelton Watts passed away peacefully at Givens Health Center on October 1, 2011 from complications related to Alzheimer's Disease.
Leola was born in Greenville, Tennessee, the 8th child of Crit and Dora Mae Shelton and was raised in the Shelton Laurel Community of Madison County before moving to Asheville in 1945. Mrs. Watts was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Henry C. Watts, Sr. in 2005.
Mrs. Watts is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Gail, son, Henry C. Watts, Jr.
Mrs. Watts will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, but most of all for her generous caring and giving to others.
