Funeral services for George Howard Andrews will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011, at 2:00PM at the First United Methodist Church with George Price officiating.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home.

George Howard Andrews was born the 4th child of 8 on September 2, 1917 to Luther and Cordia Andrews. He lived his entire life in Childress. He married Louise Wakefield on December 25, 1938.

Howard was the Co-Owner of the Taylor and Andrews Grocery in the 1940's. He later worked for United Supermarket, Gibson Discount and managed Thriftway Grocery.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister.

He is survived by: Wife; Louise of Childress;

2 Sons; Gene Andrews and Wife Betty of Amarillo; Dean Andrews and Wife Lorelei of Liberty Hill, Tx.;

6 Grandchildren: Kim Pool of Buda, Tx.; Don Andrews of Enid, Ok.; Scott Andrews of Anthan, Arizona; Derek Andrews of Wichita Falls, Tx.; Kyle Andrews of LaVernia,Tx.; Kris Andrews of Austin, Tx.

10 Great-Grandchildren;

Sister: Ernestine Hacker of Amarillo, Tx.

Sister-in-law: Colleen Andrews of Cameron, Tx.
