W.A. (Aught) Janes Claimed By Death
William Arthur (Aught) Janes 67, of the Stag Creek Community died October 7. Funeral services were held at the Stag Creek Tabernacle October 8, with the interment at the cemetery at that place.
Rev. Bob McGinnis had charge of the services.
Pallbearers were Leroy Cox, W.A. Cox, Armon Janes, Dwight Janes, A.F. Stark and Truman Irwin.
Mr. Janes was born in Comanche County July 2,1884 being the son of A.J.F. and Nancy Ann Janes.
He spent all of his life in Comanche County in the Stag Creek section with the exception of 20 years spent in the Lubbock and Vernon areas prior to his return here in 1946.
Mr. Janes was married to Miss Addie Allen July 22, 1906 who with the following children survive him. Mrs. A.C. Ellison of Bakersfield Calif. Mrs. Vivian Hammons of Vernon, Mrs. Wenona Norton of Lubbock, Wendell Janes of Lubbock and Veron Janes of Comanche
