Mrs. Lucille Bowe, 77, W5487 Harbor Rd., Chilton, passed away Sunday, March 25, 1990 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 22, 1912 in the town of Stockbridge, daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Dietrick) Merrill. She was married to Gilbert Bowe on Nov. 12, 1938 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Chilton.

She worked for Pendl’s Department Store in Chilton for many years. She as a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho; a member of the Christian Mothers, the Calumet County Homemakers and the Chilton Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Lloyd Vlies, Cedarburg; two sons and daughters-in-law; Bob and Sandra Bowe, Albert and Mary Bowe, all of Stockbridge; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Margarette) Joas, Kiel; Mrs. Winifred Puetz, South Milwaukee; Sr. Nichols Merrill, Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law, Mary Merrill, Racine; Winnie Merrill, Oshkosh; Maude Breckheimer, Stockbridge. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 23, 1976; also by two sisters and three brothers.

The funeral Mass was at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho, with the Rev. Cyril Dickrell SDS officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
