Eldon and several other boys went to the lake near the Hemauer farm and swam some time before he went under. Dr. J. J. Minahan, county coroner believed that the boy evidently had been ?? by cramps. He said not inquest would be held.
The body was recovered in 12 feet of water after an hour’s search by Sheriff Gerhard H. Jensen, Dr. Minahan, several deputies and volunteers and a professional diver, Jack White, Oshkosh. Grappling hooks and barbed wire were used.
Sheriff Jensen said that the boy, who lives a mile south of Brothertown, had gone with his parents to spend the day at the residence of relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Edward ???, in the town of Stockbridge.
The body was taken to the Schumacher funeral home at Stockbridge.
The youth is survived by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
