Bob Allsup, former San Antonio football player, who died of a heart attack in Santa Ana, CA. Tuesday. An All-city guard while playing with Jefferson High School, Allsup recently retired after 20 years of Marine Corps service. He was a veteran of WW2. He was a son of Thomas William Allsup and Ethel (Hensley) Allsup. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Gladys (Beaver) Allsup, a son Marcus Allsup, and a daughter Patricia Ann, all of Santa Ana, CA; a brother, Jack Allsup, and four sisters, Mrs. A. O. (Esther) Hull, Mrs, Walter (Oleetha) Mangold, Mrs. Cora Watkins and Mrs. L. B. (Dorothea) Kost, all of San Antonio, TX.
