Died, at his home in the village of Leadmine, Wis., on Monday, August 8, 1887, Jonathan Hoffman, aged sixty-eight years. The deceased was a native of Pennsylvania and many years ago he sought a home in the West. He has been a resident of this county for a long period of time and made many acquaintances in this neighborhood where he has worked at his trade, that of a carpenter. Hew as confined to his home by sickness for many months until at last he yielded to the inevitable.
He leaves a widow, three sons and two daughters. He was a prominent member of the Odd Fellows order and his funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon under charge of Leadville Lodge and was largely attended by his friends and neighbors as well as by the Odd Fellows from surrounding lodges.
