Fred (Frog) Adams, age 72, of Lone Rock, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at his home.

He was born to Henry Clarence Adams and Lila Barbara (Repka) Adams on April 11, 1939 in Clyde Township.

He graduated from the Lone Rock High School and then worked at various jobs including Badger Ordnance, PBL Concrete.

He worked for over 40 years at Lone Rock Milling.

Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the cabin in the Northern woods of Wisconsin after his retirement.

He also enjoyed gardening and making his famous pickles for everyone to enjoy.

Fred and his family for many years enjoyed putting up the Christmas lights for people to enjoy at his home in Lone Rock.

Fred started in 1960 as a Lone Rock Volunteer Firefighter and also served for many years as an EMT for Lone Rock.

Frog is survived by a special nephew and niece: Tim Adams and Tammie (Buddy) Reno of Lone Rock, his sisters: Betty (Ken) Elliott of Ventura, California, Pauline (George) Gasser of Lone Rock, and a brother: Charles (Pat) Adams of Lone Rock.

Frog is further survived by his nephews: Matt (fiancé Meagan) Adams of Adams, Kenny (Diane) Elliott of Madison, Jim Elliott of California, and his nieces: Charlene (Lamont) Sailing Lila (Mark) Kraska Barb Adams all of Lone Rock.

Frog is also survived by two special great nephews: Patrick Reno and Adam (Friend Tiffani Crook) Reno of Lone Rock, a special great niece: Anna Reno of Lone Rock, and his Aunt Florence Adams of Avoca.

Frog is also survived by his companion Swede, who went everywhere with Frog, as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Frog was preceded in death by his wife Ann in 1979, his parents Henry and Lila Adams, his brother Milan ‘Snake' Adams, his sister in law Marylin Adams, his nephew Kerry Elliott and many Spots.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Community Congregational Church in Lone Rock, with Pastor Craig Peach officiating.

Burial will be held at the Button Cemetery, near Gotham.

Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Friends may also call on Monday, Otcober 3, 2011 at the Community Congregational Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M.

The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service of Richland Center assisted the family with their arrangements.
