Commodore "CJ" Bowling Jr., 85, of Willard went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at his residence. He was born April 26, 1926 in Jeriel, KY, a son of the late Commadore M. and Virginia Totton Blevins. He was a farmer, of the Christian faith and a WWII Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Edgel, Clifford and Ronald Bowling, five sisters Daphine Sperry, Charlene Sperry, Rose Pennington, Clara Caudill and Agnes French.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Betty Clay Bowling, two sons, Ernie (Shirley) Bowling of Ezel, KY., Jimmy (Linda) Bowling of Louisa, KY., two daughters, Becky (David) Kiger of Grayson, and Cassie (Ralph) San Miguel of Grayson, two sisters, Imogene McCoy of Baltimore, OH., and Lucy Ramsey of Oberlin, OH., grandchildren, Bobby, Erna Lynn, Tommy, Mary Ann, Carrie, Maria, Rachel and Gloria, 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Malone Funeral Home, by Joe McCoy. Burial will be in the Clay Family Cemetery in Denton, KY. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
