"Mrs. Sarah Flickinger passed away last Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara Sentel, in Kent, after an illness of nearly two years. Mrs. Flickinger was past 77 years of age and was born and reared in Berlin township, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Burkey. She was married to George Flickinger, also a resident of Berlin township, Dec. 25, 1872. He passed away nearly four years ago. They were the parents of six children all living: Walter and Marion of Virginia, Clarence of Alliance, Elwood and Mrs. Clara Sentel of Kent, and Mrs. Florence Stone of Ravenna. Mrs. Flickinger is also survived by an aged brother, Aaron Burkey of Deerfield, who is the only one now living out of a family of eleven children. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the North Berlin Lutheran church, Rev. McPherson of Ravenna officiating. Interment in the Lutheran cemetery."
