Son of David Chesley and Anna Harrelson Altman. David married (1) Retha Turbeville, and (2) Lillie Mae Woodle.


BRITTONS NECK - Three persons were killed Wednesday in an auto wreck when their car ran into the back of a tractor. Killed were Decar Altman, 72, Tommy Lester Altman, 30, and Tommy Altman, Jr., 6.

Funeral services for the three will be Friday at 6 p.m. at Nebo Baptist Church. Burial will be in Souls Chapel Cemetery, directed by Smith Brothers Funeral Home.

The elder Altman was born in Brittons Neck, a son of the late Chesley and Annie Harrelson Altman of Brittons Neck. He was married twice, first to the late Rethe Turbeville Altman, then to the late Lillie Daniels Altman.

His son, Tommy Altman, was born in Brittons Neck, a son of Mr. Altman and Mrs. Retha Turbeville Altman. He was associated with the Marion Manufacturing Co.

The younger Altman was born in Brittons Neck, a son of Tommy L. Altman, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Frances Daniels Altman.

Survivors of Mr. Decar Altman include four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Johnson of Georgetown, Mrs. Jackie Leland of Georgetown, Mrs. Florence Bogan of Newport News, Va., and Mrs. Johnny Alford of Brittons Neck; one sister, Mrs. Queen Capps of Columbia; and 12 step grandchildren.

Surviving Tommy Altman, Sr. are his wife, Mary Frances Daniels Altman of Brittons Neck; two sons, Keith and Carl Altman, both of Brittons Neck; and one daughter, Miss Cynthia Altman of Brittons Neck.
