Virginia E. Neal, 82, a lifelong Wenatchee Valley resident, passed away on July 25, 2011. She was born in Wenatchee on December 14, 1928, to John and Virgil Ecker. Virginia married Lonnie Neal on June 3, 1947, in Wenatchee. She owned and operated her own business, Virginia Neal Interiors, for 50 years. Virginia made many quilts from scraps left over from her business and collected dolls from different countries. She volunteered at many organizations and belonged to the First Baptist Church in Wenatchee.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Neal of Wenatchee; son and daughter-in-law, John and Arlene Neal of East Wenatchee; two daughters, Joy Neal of Mt. Vernon and Nancy Gifford of Wenatchee; and one brother, Sam Ecker of Wenatchee.
Funeral Services will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, Friday, July 29, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Vern Watterud officiating. The Service will conclude in the chapel. A Private Interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
