Edith C. Dale

Edith C. Dale, 71, wife of Harold Wayne Dale, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born March 30, 1940 in Menifee County to the late John and Bethel Wells Holland. She was a former employee of Hansley Mills, Kentucky Textiles and Jockey International, and was a member of the East Union Christian Church.

She is also survived by her son, Randall (Belinda) Dale of Carlisle; one brother, Arthur Holland of Covington; six sisters: Dolly Ritchie of Charlotte, North Carolina, Willa Mae Morgan of Covington, and Elsie Earlywine, Norma Jean Whaley, Linda Caskey and Elizabeth Tincher, all of Carlisle; and two grandchildren: Courtney and Cameron Dale.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Patrick Dale; three brothers: Paul, Mason, and Willie J. Holland; and a sister, Patty Feeback.

Services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by the Rev. Merrill Mitchell with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery. Casket bearers were Mike Berry, Herbert Lynn Booth, Fred Burnaw, Bobby Fay, Norval Garrett and Raymond Mitchell.
