A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, in Ross Hollywood Chapel for Harold G. Alexander, who died Feb. 3 at age 75.
Mr. Alexander was born July 20, 1928, in Roseville, Calif., and moved to Portland in 1931. He served in the Army in the Korean War and received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He owned several waste collection companies, including Alexander's Disposal Service. In 1999, he was awarded a diploma from Benson Polytechnic High School. In 1953, he married Maxine Johnson.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Julie Elliott; sons, Todd and Keith; and three grandchildren.
Remembrances to the transportation fund of Shriners Hospitals for Children. He and his wife will be layed to rest in Rose City Cemetery, Mausoleum, Unit 13, Section KK, Crypt 2-3.
