William "Harrison" Broce, 79, of 199 Burke Road, died Tuesday, September 10, 2002 in Harrodsburg.

Born January 28, 1923 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Hattie Shewmaker Broce. He was the widower of Maymie Moore Broce.

He was a retired maintenance employee for Joseph E. Seagram Distillery in Lawrenceburg.

Survivors include: one son, Ronnie (Barbara) Broce, Salvisa; one brother, Donald Broce, Thomasville, GA; two sisters, Juanita Harley, Frankfort, and Nellie Fuqua, San Angelo, TX; two grandchildren, Joshua Broce and Jeremy Bugg and one great grandchild, Noah Bugg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Friday, September 13, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Ken Calia officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.

Pallbearers will be Charles Harley, Douglas Harley, Danny Broce, Winston Preston, Paul Preston Jr., Jimmy Baker, James Carroll and Hubert ""Pud" Peavler.

Honorary bearers will be Earl Lowry, Wayne Becknell, George Omer Moore, Hue Elmer Otis and William Otis.

Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Thursday, and after 7:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel.
