Mrs. Roxie Emeline Bennett, 87, of Route 1, Fulton, died September 27, 1971 at the Itawamba County Hospital. Funeral services were held Sept. 29 in the New Salem Church with Nabors Funeral Home of Smithville in charge.
Survivors included four sons, Trenton of Fulton, Trannie of Tupelo, Luther of N.C., and R. C. Bennett of Nettleton; one daughter, Mrs. Nell Shotts of Fulton; 24 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one brother, P. A. Evans of Fulton; one sister, Miss Eula Evans of Amory.

Julia Duncan can not be the mother of Roxie or Georgia as she did not marry W H Evans until 26 Aug 1888
