In Memoriam
William Hinschberger was killed in a car accident June 23, 1947.
Although "Bill" just came to Valley City High School last year, his junior year, from Eckelson, he was well-known and well liked throughout the student body. He was a member of the reserve football squad and would have played on the varsity squad during the 1947 season. Bill was on the 1946-47 basketball team, playing the position of forward.
He was only seventeen and would have graduated this year. Although all the students regret Bill's death, the Senior Class of 1947, his class, most of all has missed his presence in the classes and the halls.
