Annie Iola (Ward) Porter Barnett, 83, of Chesnee, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011.
Daughter of the late Daniel T. Ward (1902-1976) and Alice Mae (Land) Ward (1904-1964), she was a caregiver and a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She was survived by a son, Calvin L. Porter and wife Thelma of Inman; sister Pauline W. Mills of Lyman, SC; 9 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Porter, Sr. (1920-1974); second husband Lonnie Barnett; sons, Walter S. Porter, Jr. (1948-1976), John J. Porter (1951-1989); daughter, Bertie Ann Porter (1949-1959).
Visitation was held 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Eggers Funeral Chapel with Rev. Burl Wyatt and Dr. Phil Sybrant officiating. Burial followed at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
