Frieda was a retired cafeteria supervisor from St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL and member of St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Susan, nee Sommer, Middendorf; her husband, Louis D. Kurtz whom she married in St. Libory, IL on July 8, 1959 and who died May 29, 2003; a sister, Laurie Sindel, and a brother, Robert Middendorf.
She is survived by a brother, Leroy (Diana) Middendorf of Fayetteville, IL; four sisters, Rosalie (Steve) Santel of Damiansville, IL, Sharon (Tom) Buss of Belleville, IL, JoAnn (Jim) Mueller of Belleville, IL, and Barb (Tom) Sintzel of Belleville, IL; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty Middendorf of Steeleville, IL, and Louis (Jane) Sindel of Mascoutah, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces.
