Last rites for Mrs. Leevernia Choate, 68, early-day resident of Elk City, were conducted here Saturday afternoon with burial at Fairlawn cemetery with Rev. Horace Lee Janes, First Baptist church minister, officiating.
Funeral services had been held Friday at Oklahoma City where she .............the Emanuel Baptist church was in charge of the rites there.
Mrs. Choate moved to Elk City in 1907. Her husband, the late Kenneth Choate preceded her in death five years ago and was buried here. A son, Livous Choate, also died in infancy and was interred here.
In 1912 Mr. and Mrs. Choate left Elk City, moving to Poteau, later moving to Oklahoma City where the latter had resided for 25 years prior to her death.
