Edna was born on September 29, 1917, in Porters Sideling and was the daughter of the late Hamilton S. Senft and Mabel (Becker) Senft.
She worked for Danskin in York for over 16 years and retired in 1982.
Mrs. Kemper was a member of St. Peter Lischey's United Church of Christ in Spring Grove, Homewood Auxiliary, and AARP.
Edna is survived by her son, William H. Kemper and wife, Tonia of Hanover; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Leona Ernst and Helen Klinedinst; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Florence Keeney and Romaine Haar; and her brothers, Raymond Senft, Guy Senft, and Irvin Senft.
A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held September 27, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home, Spring Grove, with the Rev. Sarah Rentzel Jones officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband following the service at St. Peter Lischey's Cemetery.
