Mrs. Edmund Horgan, President
Of Larrabee's Dies in New York

Mrs. Edmund Horgan, daughter of the late
John E. Larrabee and president of the
John E. Larrabee Co. that her father founded,
died Sunday at 11 a.m. at Beth-David Hospital in New York City where she had been a patient since last Thursday.
Mrs. Morgan's death was the result of severe burns received in her Park Ave. apartment about midnight Thursday. She was immediately taken to Beth-David Hospital, where she died Sunday.
The former Hilda Larrabee was the daughter of John E. Larrabee and Louise Leavenworth, born in Amsterdam, March 17, 1896. After graduation from Amsterdam High School, she graduated from Wellesley College In 1916, later doing graduate work in architecture at Columbia University.
During World War I, she went abroad with the
American Hospital Corp. and served at Neuilly, France.
After her marriage to Dr. Edmund Horgan in 1926, she made
her home in Virginia for several years, but for the past two years she had been a resident of New York City. Mrs. Horgan was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church of this city. Survivors include Thomas W. Leavenworth, a cousin, and a brother-in-law, James D. Lombard, Bel Aire Beach, Fla., husband of a deceased sister, Catherine Larrabee.
Upon the death in 1911 of John E. Larrabee, founder of the hardware company, his daughter became the major stockholder of the company then managed by E. Warner Leavenworth, father of Thomas W. Leavenworth, present treasurer and executive director.

Horgan was held at the funeral
house of Johnson-Lindsay Tuesday
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, the Rev.
Roland S. Fredericks officiating.
Interment was In Green Hill Cemetery.
The bearers were Theodore
Krown, Herbert Breen, William
Holleran, James Lombard, Robert
Eksteln and Wallace Lindsay.
Attending from out of town, were
Dr.Edmund Horgan, Richmond,
Va.; James Lombard, Bel Air
Beach, Fla,; Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Sharp, Kingston; Robert Eksteln,
Gloversvllle.
