OBITUARY (unknown newspaper clipping)
Sunday the sad news reached here from Arriba, Col., that Mrs. H.B. Morgan, a once resident of this place, (National) died Friday Oct. 23.
Dora A. Brandt was born July 11, 1869 and died Oct. 23, 1908. Her entire life was spent here until last December, when the family moved to Colorado, where she passed away. Mrs. Morgan's mother died while Dora was yet a babe and she made her home with her grandparents, Daniel Brownson and wife, until she was united in marriage to Hugh B. Morgan April 28, 1890. Dora was always a kind friend and neighbor and was always willing to give a helping hand in any cause, and her many friends mourn her untimely departure.
She leaves to mourn her loss, a loving husband, nine children, four boys and five girls, one girl, a babe three weeks old, a brother Will T. Brandt whose home is in Elk River, Minn. and a host of friends. The funeral services were held here Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Mann of McGregor. Mr. Morgan expects to move his children back here soon.
