CULBERTSON -- Ed J. Adams, 71, died Thursday, September 21 1978 at the Community Hospital, McCook, Nebraska. He was born April 3, 1907 in Burke, South Dakota to Jacob and Maria Adams.

Mr. Adams was married to Katherine Eckhardt June 3, 1928 in Oberlin, Kansas. He farmed for more than 42 years northwest of Culbertson.

Survivors are his widow, Katherine; one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Kathleen) Kumme of Fairbury; one son, Dale of McCook; three grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Mary Schlagel of McCook; two half-brothers, Rudy Adams of Portland, Oregon, and Albert Adams of Dallas, Texas, and three half-sisters, Mrs. Rose Reichstein of Hastings, Mrs. Lydia Des Camp of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs. Edna Renmaman of Winter, Wisconsin.

Services: St. John's Lutheran Church, Culbertson, Nebraska, Monday, September 25, 1978 at 10:30 a.m. Words of Comfort - Rev. Glenn A Schultz. Music: Organist - Shirley Stecker; Soloist - Ivan Groothuis; Hymn Selections - "What a Friend We Have in Jesus;" "Asleep in Jesus;" "I Know That My Redeemer Lives."
