Michael's burial place is unmarked but he was living in Towamencin Township when he wrote his will in 1768. The Towamencin Mennonite Cemetery predates 1768 and has many unmarked fieldstones from the 1750's and 1760's. This is likely where Michael and his first wife Anna Rosenberger are buried.

Michael's first wife and the mother of his eldest daughter Helena was Anna Rosenberger, daughter of Benjamin & Helena Rosenberger and not a daughter of Daniel Rosenberger as claimed in the Rosenberger Family History. This relationship is proved by Helena Rosenberger's will which makes a bequest to her granddaughter Helena Weirman, who is known to be the daughter of Michael Kolb. Michael's will proves that his second wife was Anna Meyer, daughter of Jacob Meyer and sister of Samuel Meyer and that his remaining children were by his second wife.

Michael Kolb, Philadelphia County. Will written 1/3/1768, proved 6/20/1770. Philadelphia Will Book O, page 515. Wife Anna. Children Helena [by his first wife], Isaac and Barbara [by his second wife, Michael's daughter Gertrude was born after his will was written]. Executors father-in-law Jacob Meyer of Lower Saucon, Northampton Co. and brother-in-law Samuel Meyer of Bucks County. Witnesses Isaac Hunsecker and Deeleman Zeigler.
