MOODY, George Addison - George A. Moody, a resident of the Lowell vicinity for nearly 50 years, died at his home south of that place Sunday afternoon at the age of 74 years. He was ill but a few weeks. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon, his former pastor, Rev. Joe English of the First Baptist church in Gentry, conducted the services. The funeral was largely attended. Burial was made in Goad Springs cemetery. Besides his widow he is survived by seven sons, Thurman, Frank and John Moody of Lowell; J.W. Moody, Pittsburgh, Pa.; G.A. Moody of Kansas City, Kans.; Tom Moody of Leadore, Idaho; C.R. Moody of Goldona, La.; and three daughters: Mrs. Paul Anderson and Mrs. Walter Dean of Rogers and Mrs. Harvey Graham of Lowell; also by a sister, Mrs. Rachel Cowan of Lowell and a brother, Frank R. Moody of Nebraska.

George Addison Moody, 74 years old, died at 5:25 o'clock Sunday afternoon at his home just south of Lowell following an illness of a month. He came to Arkansas in 1873 and had lived near Lowell since that time. He was one of northwest Arkansas' most active boosters. Funeral was held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Lowell Baptist church with Rev. Joe English of Gentry in charge. Burial was in the Goad Springs cemetery. Mr. Moody is survived by his wife and 10 children including, Tom Moody, Leadore, Idaho; Chas. R., Goldona, La.; Grover A., Kansas City, Kan.; Frank and John A., Lowell; Mrs. Harvey Graham, Lowell; Judd W. Moody, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mrs. Walter Dean, Rogers. Mr. Moody also leaves one sister, Mrs. Rachael Cowan, Lowell and a brother, Frank R. Moody in Nebraska.
