The Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 18, 2011 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill Proctor officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.
Mary Gene was born September 15, 1918 in Honey Grove, Texas to Eugene and Ida Mae Erwin. She graduated from San Angelo High School and attended the University of Oklahoma and Texas Women's College. She taught music from her home for over 61 years, teaching piano, organ and violin to hundreds of local students.
Mary Gene was preceded in death by her husband Harvey and her brother Bill Erwin.
She is survived by her Sons, Ron Cosper and his wife Nita, of Evergreen CO., and Don Cosper, of San Angelo; 5 Grandchildren, Amy and Emily Cosper, Clint Cosper, Whit Cosper and Chrissy Sheffield and 7 Great Grandchildren.
She was devoted to her family, students and many friends. Her sense of humor and zest for life will be missed by all who knew her.
