FRANKLIN DELAND "BUDDY" HAYES, 55, of Detroit, died Sunday, March 8, 1992, in the Baptist Montclair Hospital in Birmingham. He was born on November 27, 1936, in Lamar County, the son of Van Hayes and Stella Cook Hayes. He was a farmer.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 10, 1992, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home with burial in Cooper Cemetery. Wayne Shepherd was the officiating minister.
Survivors include his wife - Shelia Ann Hayes, Detroit; son- Ronald Hayes, Detroit; step-children - Tracey Self and Jimmy Self both of Hamilton and Nathaniel Self, Brilliant; brother - Howard Hayes, Tuscaloosa; sisters - Mary Lou Loggins and Willie Mae Hill both of Detroit, Fannie Batson, Guin; a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Hamilton Funeral Home directed the services.
