MACON – Mary Aultman Cheek, 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Liberty United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Bob Shell will officiate.

Mrs. Cheek, wife of the late Louie Frank Cheek, was the daughter of the late Culver and Mary Lizzie Means Aultman and was raised by Lucile Aultman Whittington. A lifelong resident of Macon, she was a graduate of Miller High School and attended Wesleyan College. Mrs. Cheek was retired from Jones, Cork and Miller, Attorneys-at-Law. Mrs. Cheek was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church for more than fifty years where she was active in the life of her church. During those years she was a member of the United Methodist Women, a member of the Bereavement Committee and a teacher in the Children's Sunday School. Mrs. Cheek was also a member of Porterfield Garden Club.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Pat Cheek, Louie Frank and Brenda Cheek and Charles and Cyndi Cheek, all of Macon; four grandchildren, Michael (Gail) Cheek, Kelly (Kane) Talbot, Tommy (Kristen) Cheek and Jessica Cheek; three great grandchildren, Mary Gail and William Frank Cheek and Jackson Talbot; her sister, Lucia Colquitt of Macon; two sisters-in-law, Tina Aultman and Virginia Causey and numerous nieces and nephews.
