C. Columbus Champion was the son of Joseph (Josiah) and Sarah Elizabeth Booth Champion.

He married Ethel Davis, the daughter of S. Phoebe Sullivant and Samuel Z. Davis.

CHAMPION SERVICE HELD ON THURSDAY

Fayette --Funeral services for C.C. "Bud" Champion, 73, who died at his residence in Millport, March 7th, following a six week illness, were held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Grove Church with the ministers, the Rev. Lester Stokes and the Rev. Jack Crowe officiating.

Burial was in the Millport Cemetery conducted by Dowdle Funeral Home.

Surviving are the wife, Ethel Davis Champion; five daughters, Mrs. Maudie Johnson, Tuscaloosa, Mrs. Parrie Fleming, Cullman, Mrs. Elsie Prolsdorfer, Cullman, Mrs. Inez Stembridge, Millport, Mrs. Dorthy Nelson, Tuscaloosa; three sons all of Millport, Durell, Cleon and Hulon Champion
