Ernest Rizzo, DOB 22 Oct 1922 - DOD 20 April 1928, was the son of Anna Salanitro and her husband, Giuseppe Rizzo. Young Ernest died 11 days after his mother, Anna's 37th birthday. He was injured while performing a favor for an older landlady in front of their Bronx apartment house. She asked him to close a heavy duty garage door when a strong April storm was brewing. He was too little and too light weight for such a big task. A heavy wind blew the garage door against him and he was thrown to the concrete. He suffered a severe head injury and died 2 days later never regaining consciousness. It was so sad. He was Anna and Giuseppe's 6th child of the 8 children she had in less than 14 years.
