MRS. LAURA W. WITMER
Mrs. Laura W. Witmer, 83 , widow of John M. Witmer, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Esther E. Waggoner, 222 West Coover Street, Mechanicsburg, today after a lingering illness.
She was a member of Young's Evangelical United Brethren Church and Sunday school and the Ladies Aid Society.
In addition to Mrs. Waggoner, she is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Mary Mabel Merris and Mrs. P.O. Shettle, both of Mechanicsburg, and Mrs. Lester M. Kauffman, New Cumberland; two sons, H. L. Witmer, Harrisburg, and Preston Witmer, Carlisle R.D.; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Vogelsong, Carlisle, R.D.2; 34 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon from the Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with further services in Young's Church. Rev. H.L. Sipe, Rev. P.O. Shettle and Mrs. Lester M. Kauffman will officiate. Burial will be in Stone Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening, 7 to 9.
