Funeral services for Mrs. Era Myrtle Hodge, 74, of Rice were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Methodist Church at Rice with the Rev. Lively Brown of Ennis and the Rev. Samuel Mohundro of Corsicana officiating.
Interment was in Rice Cemetery, under the direction of Bunch Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Garth Hodge, Dale McAdams, Bruce Oliver, Floyd Baggs, Tony Valot and F. T. Blount.
Mrs. Hodge was born April 18, 1892, near Rice, daughter of W. H. and Nanny Bell. She was married to William F. Hodge August 31, 1910, at Rice.
Mr. Hodge preceded her in death in 1965.
She was a member of the Rice First Methodist Church.
Survivors are two sons, Jack W. Hodge, Richardson, and W. G. Hodge, Ennis; 3 daughters, Miss Frankie Hodge, Rice; Mrs. J. L. Oliver, Dallas; Mrs. F. T. Blount, Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, H. S. Bell, Rice; one sister, Mrs. C. O. Barrington, Overton, Texas.
