Mrs. Vera C. Farley
Services for Mrs. Vera C. Farley, 73, of 1308 Arlington, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Central Baptist church. Dr. Donald Potts, pastor will officiate, and burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, under the direction of the Lawton Funeral home.
Mrs. Farley died about 12:15 p.m. Thursday [February 6, 1964] in a local hospital, after an illness of about three months. She was born Jan. 5, 1891, in Guthrie Center, Iowa, and came to Lawton in 1923, from Snyder.
She married W.O. Farley in Lawton, Feb. 3, 1940. He died in 1962. Mrs. Farley retired in 1946 from Civil Service work at Fort Sill. She was a member of Central Baptist church, the Old Settlers club, the Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars and the National Association of Retired Civil Service Employes.
Survivor include a daughter, Mr. B.F. Barrett, 1501 Lake; two sons, Bill Harrison, 1615 N. 32nd, and George L. Harrison, Dallas, Tex.; a stepson, Phil Farley, 1307 S. 10th; one sister, Mrs. Inez Watkins, 1904 Bell, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
