Felipe M. Lucero, age 80, a lifelong resient of Corrales, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2000. Felipe is survived by his daughter, Ruby Montaño and her husband, Gilbert of Corrales, son, Felipe A. Lucero and his wife, Dolores of Corrales, loving companion, Rose Alderete of Corrales, grandsons, Norman Lucero, Phillip Montaño, Paul Lucero, Leo Montano, Tim Lucero and Matthew Lucero; granddaughers, Sandra Montaño and April Garcia, 15 great-grandchildren, sister, Louisa Johnson and her husband, Ron and Irene Saiz and brother, Fidel Lucero and his wife, Janet. Felipe was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lucero and son, Andy Lucero. Felipe was a member of San Ysidro Parish Council and San Ysidro Parish Choir. Felipe was also a member of the American Legion Post 69, Plumbers Union Local 412 and a United States Navy veteran of World War II. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church, 5015 Corrales Road by Fr. Clarence Galli. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church with Fr. Clarence Galli, Celebrant. Interment will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Norman Lucero, Phillip Montano, Paul Lucero, Leo Montaño, Tim Lucero and Matthew Lucero. Honorary pallbearers wil be Daniel Garcia and Michael Wesley.
