Born in Albuquerque, N.M., Apr 29, 1932, he was the son of Carlos and Bertha Lucero. He moved to Bagdad 31 years ago to work in the Cyprus Bagdad Mine, and had worked there ever since.
Mr. Lucero liked to hunt and fish, and had been an umpire for Little League baseball in Bagdad for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife Marcella; four sons; and eight grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Pelipe, Willie and Fidel; and five sisters, Abbie, Mary, Justine, Irene and Josie.
Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
