Elizabeth was daughter of Alexander McCown (b.25 Nov. 1755 in Lancaster Co., Penn - d. 23 Sept. 1835 in Bardstown, Nelson Co., KY) and Susanna Uncell McCown (b. 1 Jun. 1765 - d. 2 May 1854 in Bardstown, Nelson Co., KY). Alexander was a Revolutionary War Soldier and Indian Fighter. re. Revolutionary War Pension Application W-3027, State of Kentucky.
