Hagan A. Bishop, son of Samuel Bishop and Lydia Goodman was mortally wounded in the chest at the Battle of the Stones River on January 2, 1863. He died January 11, 1863. He was on the union side along with his three brothers. He was in the 9th Kentucky Infantry Company K. His wife, Julia Ann Charter never remarried and raised their two children, James Hayden Bishop and daughter, Amanda Bishop.
